Admission Circular

Medical, Dental, IHT/MATS and Homoeopathic, Unani & Ayurvedic admission circulars for the 2025-2026 session have been published on the dgme.gov.bd website. Let’s take a look at the various aspects of these admission notices.

MBBS Admission Circular 2025-2026: The MBBS Admission Circular for Government and Private Medical Colleges was published on 10 November 2025. As per the admission notification, the online application started on 11 November 2025. The last date of application was 21 November 2025. Following the application process, applicants were given the opportunity to download admit cards from 7 December to 9 December 2025. The admission test was held on 12 December 2025.

BDS Admission Circular 2025-2026: For the 2025-2026 academic session, the BDS Admission Circular was released alongside the MBBS circular on 10 November 2025. A major update for this session is that the admission test for BDS courses in government and private dental colleges and dental units was held jointly with the MBBS admission test. The combined admission test took place on 12 December 2025. The application period and admit card download schedule were the same as the MBBS timeline.

IHT/MATS Admission Circular: The IHT MATS Admission Circular for the academic year 2025-2026 has been released through the dgme.gov.bd website. The circular was published on 12 August 2025. The application period was fixed from 14 August 2025 to 27 August 2025. Admit card download was available from 14 September to 16 September 2025. The admission test was held on 19 September 2025. MBBS Admission Result 2025-2026

The MBBS Admission test for the 2025-2026 session was held on 12 December 2025 for all government and private medical colleges in Bangladesh. After the exam, the result of the admission test is typically published within 48 to 72 hours. The result is expected to be released tentatively by 14 December 2025. Students who secure 40 marks or more in the admission test are declared as passed.

The merit list is prepared on the basis of the total score of the candidates who have passed the admission test. The admission process in government medical colleges will be conducted from this merit list. The waiting list is also published simultaneously. If any student does not complete admission from the merit list, admission will be taken from the waiting list.

The admission process for private medical colleges will start after the admission process of government medical colleges. Students will be admitted to private medical colleges based on published results and merit positions. Admission of students in private medical colleges will also be completed through the central admission system.

BDS Admission Result 2025-2026

The admission test for the BDS course in dental units of public and private Medical colleges and Dental Colleges of Bangladesh was held on 12 December 2025 (Combined with MBBS). After that, the BDS Admission test result is expected to be published alongside the MBBS result or shortly thereafter, tentatively in mid-December 2025.

The merit list and waiting list will be published for the admission of students in the prescribed seats in the Government Dental Colleges. After completing the admission of students from the merit list and waiting list, the admission process in the private dental colleges will start. The admission process for BDS courses in private dental colleges will be done centrally.

Admission Notice

After the declaration of the result of the admission test, the admission process is usually completed in several steps. After the admission from the merit list, the admission is completed from the waiting list.

Selected students have to complete the admission within the stipulated time. Moreover, the necessary documents are submitted, and rules have to be followed.
