The National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute NITOR Admission circular 2024 under the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka has been published. B.Sc in Physiotherapy admission application 2023-24 can be done through nitorbd.bigmsoft.com website.
The application will start from 14 January 2024 for a total duration of 5 (five) years including 4 (four) years academic and 1 year compulsory internship. Applications can be made till 29 February 2024. The admission test will be held on 26 April 2024.
One seat will be reserved for minority candidates and two for children of freedom fighters. This time also there is an opportunity to take the exam for the second time.
NITOR Admission 2023-24
- Application Start: 14 January 2024
- Application Deadline: February 29, 2024, 12:00 PM
- Admit card collection: Admit cards can be collected from 17th to 25th April 2024.
- Admission Test: 26th April (Friday). It will start at 10 am. The exam will be 1 hour.
Application Eligibility
- Candidates must pass the SSC and HSC Equivalent Examination from any Education Board. Should have a total GPA of 8 with physics, chemistry, and biology examinations in the science department. Separately must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- In the case of ‘Minority’ candidates only, the sum GPA must be a minimum of 7. However, grade point 3 must be in one of the individual exams.
- Candidates who have passed the SSC before 2020 and the HSC before 2022 need not apply.
B.Sc in Physiotherapy Admission Form 2024
The online application process should be done through this website. Apart from this, TK. 1,000/- (one thousand) should be deposited in favor of Current Account No. ‘0200001767274’, Agrani Bank Limited, Shyamoli Branch, Dhaka at any online branch of Agrani Bank Bangladesh and collect the receipt.
Online application will require the applicant’s photograph and signature (max 300kb, JPG) and a scanned copy of the bank deposit receipt (max 400kb, JPG). The detailed instructions for online application should be followed by the website and the application process should be completed properly.
Admission Test Mark Distribution
The examination will be conducted on the MCQ system based on a total of 100 (one hundred) marks; 30 marks in Physics, 30 marks in Chemistry 30 marks in Biology, and 10 marks in English and General Knowledge. 1 mark will be for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The merit list will be prepared by multiplying the marks obtained in SSC by 8 and the marks obtained in HSC by 12 times. Candidates will be selected based on total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the HSC examination in case of equal marks.
NITOR Admit Card 2024
From the 17th to the 25th of April 2024 (till midnight) students can download the NITOR Admit Card 2024 from the nitorbd.bigmsoft.com website. Must appear on the day of the admission test with a color print copy of the downloaded admit card.
NITOR Seat Plan
The B.Sc in Physiotherapy admission test will start on April 26, 2024, at 10 am. 1 hour exam will be held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academy (formerly Agargaon Taltala Government Colony School and Women’s College) Centre.
At the time of admission to BSc in Physiotherapy, every candidate has to submit the original certificate, mark sheet, SSC and HSC, or equivalent examination and physical fitness certificate (Medical Fitness) to the institute. There is no residential facility in this institution, students have to manage their accommodation and have to undergo 1 (one) year of internship training at the end of the course.
