MBBS Admission Result 2025 for BD Medical Colleges

MBBS Admission Circular 2026 for Government and Private Medical Colleges has been published. The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) published this admission circular on 10 November 2025. At the same time, the admission policy has also been published. Medical Admission Circular 2025-26 will be applicable for the admission of students in the academic year 2025-2026 in all public and private medical colleges of Bangladesh. At the same time, the admission notice and policy for foreign students have also been published. Admission circular and policy are available on the dgme.gov.bd website. Admission applications can be made through the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website.

The Directorate General of Medical Education has released specific information regarding MBBS Admission 2026. According to the circular, the total number of seats in 37 government medical colleges is 5,100. Additionally, there are 545 seats in government dental colleges and units. For private medical colleges, there are approximately 6,001 MBBS seats available. This year the admission fee has been fixed at Tk. 1000.

Medical Admission Circular 2025

Medical Admission Circular 2025-2026 has been published. Some changes have been made in the admission circular this year. Those students who passed the HSC examination in the previous year (2024) will have 3 marks deducted from their total score. Students who are already admitted to any government medical or dental college will have 5 marks deducted. However, the pass mark in the admission test has been kept at 40 as before. Foreign students can apply from 11 November 2025. The application period for Bangladeshi students is from 11 November 2025 to 21 November 2025. Separate admission circulars and policies have been published for Bangladeshi students and foreign students. Bangladeshi and foreign students should download the admission circular and policy from the Directorate General of Medical Education website dgme.gov.bd. Also, all information related to admission can be found on the Directorate General of Health Services and Ministry of Health websites.

MBBS Admission 2025-2026

The DGME has published the MBBS Admission Circular 2025 for government and private medical colleges of Bangladesh. The admission circular has announced the admission roadmap for the academic year 2025-2026. Admission of students in all government and private medical colleges of the country will be completed through an integrated admission test. The admission process for private medical colleges will start after the admission process for government medical colleges. Private medical colleges will admit students based on the results of the integrated admission test. The roadmap announced by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) along with other information is as follows.

Application Eligibilities

The Directorate General of Medical Education has released separate eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS courses for Bangladeshi and foreign students. Bangladeshi students must have the following qualifications to apply for MBBS Admission 2025-26.

  • Applicant must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
  • Student must have passed HSC or equivalent examination in 2025 or 2024.
  • Student must have passed SSC or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2022. Candidates who passed SSC before 2022 are not eligible.
  • Passed SSC/ ‘O’ Level/ Equivalent Examination in Science group and HSC/ ‘A’ Level/ Equivalent Examination with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Aggregate GPA should be at least 8.50 in both SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examinations.
  • Tribal and Non-tribal candidates from hill districts should have an aggregate GPA of at least 8.00 in SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations. However, a GPA less than 3.50 in any single exam will not be considered eligible to apply.
  • General candidates must have a minimum GPA of 4.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations individually.
  • All applicants must have at least Grade Point 3.50 in Biology in the HSC/Equivalent Examination.

MBBS Admission Form 2025

Before submitting the application form online, read the instructions carefully, understand them, and submit carefully as per the instructions.

Step 1: Preparation

Before filling out the application form on the website, the following information and other materials should be kept with you.

  • A color photo of size 300 x 300 pixels. Images must be in JPG format. Maximum file size is 100 KB. A photo scanned or taken with a digital camera will do.
  • A scanned signature of 300 x 80 pixels in size. Signature must be in JPG format. (The paper should be signed in bold and then scanned.) The file size should be a maximum of 60 KB.
  • A link is provided on the homepage to create and match the photo and signature in the required size.
  • Photograph and signature should be pre-saved on a computer or pen drive so that they can be uploaded at the time of application.
  • Keep your district, present address, permanent address (district, police station/upazilla, post code), etc., in English.
  • It is necessary to write down the names of the medical colleges in order of preference. Before doing this, the help of Guardians/relatives can be taken. It is mandatory for the candidate to mention the preference of all the government medical colleges while submitting the online admission application.
  • In which center you want to take the admission test should be decided in advance.
  • Quota information should be collected if there is a quota.

Step 2: Apply Online

First visit the http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd website.

There are two options here. One for those who have passed SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent exams. The other for those who have passed O-Level/A-Level or from abroad. Second-type candidates should collect an Equivalence Certificate ID from the Director, Medical Education, Directorate General of Medical Education, Mohakhali before filling out the application form. The form cannot be filled out without an ID. Click on the first option. The Next button will be highlighted at the bottom of the page; click on it. The second page will appear.

  • Roll Number, Registration Number, Board, Year of SSC/Equivalent, HSC/Equivalent, etc., must be filled in here. If the candidate has an opportunity in the tribal quota, click on Tribal applicant or a non-tribal applicant from Hill tracts option. If you don’t click here, the tribe-related option will not be available on the next page, and the GPA 8.00 assigned to the tribal quota will not be effective. Candidates applying in the Non-Tribal Quota of Tribal/Hill Districts should enter the Memo Number/Certificate Number and Date of Non-Tribal Certificate of Tribal/Hill Districts in the online application; No Online Entry in Tribal/Hill District Non-Tribal Quota without Memorial Number/Certificate Number and Date. If you get an opportunity to get admission in the quota, if you do not show the required documents at the time of admission, the admission opportunity will be cancelled.
  • If something is wrong here, click Reset and fill again. If all information is filled correctly, click Next to go to the next page.
  • At the top of the page, the candidate’s name, parents’ name, date of birth, and letter grades and grade points obtained in the middle of the page will appear automatically. (O level/ A level candidates will go to the option and fill it manually).
  • If English questions are required during the exam, the Question Language English option must be filled here.
  • Home District must be filled. If the admission seat is allotted in the filled district quota, if the district certificate is not shown at the time of admission, the allotted seat will be cancelled. As there is no gazette notification of the 2021 census, the district quota will be determined according to the 2011 census. If you have clicked on Tribal Quota on the previous page, here you have to select one from the Tribal Quota list.
  • Eligible for Freedom Fighter Quota (children, children’s children) should be clicked here.
  • Then fill in Present Address and Permanent Address. If Present Address and Permanent Address are the same, click on the button in front of Permanent Address.
  • One (11) digit mobile number is mandatory which must be kept active at all times during the admission process. After paying the application fees, USER ID, PASSWORD, and exam center name will be sent to this mobile via SMS. Another mobile number should be provided in the second box for communication if necessary.
  • Applicant must fill Choice Option. Highlighting the preferred college from the list of colleges on the left and clicking the Add button will move it to the right. In this way, one by one you have to take all the colleges on the right in the order of your choice. The list on the right side will be in order of preference. Candidates should mention the preference of all the Government Medical Colleges.

Step 3: Upload Photo and Signature

Pre-prepared photo and signature should be selected by browsing from a computer or pen drive. Validation Code should be typed as given.

Click on the Declaration button at the end of the page and click Submit.

After some time the photo and signature will be uploaded and the next page will be displayed. If the size of the photo and signature are not the same, it will not be uploaded. Options to customize photo and signature size are available online.

A User ID number will appear on this page. This number should be saved carefully, as it will be used to pay the application fee from the Teletalk prepaid number. All information including the applicant’s photo and signature will be displayed. This page must be printed. Because the applicant will be known everywhere in this photo and signature.

Step 4: Fee Payment

The examination fee of Tk 1000 must be paid from a Teletalk pre-paid number to fill the online application form. No changes can be made in the submitted application form after the payment of the fee and the application form will be accepted as final. If any part of the submitted application form needs to be corrected after the submission of the first application fee, the application can be re-applied subject to re-submission of the application fee. But in this case, the last application form will be considered final. Method of Fee Deposit:

(a) Go to Teletalk pre-paid mobile phone message option and write MBBS, write User ID with space and Send to 16222

Example: Send MBBS <Space> FRLGCT and send to 16222. Here FRLGCT is the User ID obtained by filling the form

The return SMS will ask for consent with a PIN, name of the candidate, and information to deduct Tk.1000/- (one thousand) as examination fee. To consent send SMS as below to 16222

(b) Go to Message option and write MBBS, write YES with space, write PIN with space and send SMS to 16222 by writing maximum four Center Code (Note Table No. 1) with comma (,) (Example: given below). Example: Type MBBS <Space> YES <Space> 456789 <Space> 19, 38, 47, 26 and send to 16222. Here 456789 is the PIN number received in the previous SMS and the numbers 19,38,47,26 are the code number of the examination center. If the PIN number is written correctly, Tk. 1000/- (one thousand) will be deducted from the pre-paid mobile phone of the Teletalk and a User ID and Password will be given to the candidate in the return SMS stating the name of the examination center.

The examination center must be selected at the time of payment of the application fee. The center code should be entered as the examination center. The names and codes of the examination centers are given below.

Equivalent Certificate

Bangladeshi citizens who have passed SSC/HSC equivalent examination in foreign education (O-Level/A-Level) program can apply online after converting their marksheets to GPA prevailing in Bangladesh and collecting Equivalence Certificate. In that case, they should apply to the Director, Medical Education, Directorate General of Medical Education, Mohakhali, Dhaka with a bank draft/pay-order of Tk 2000/- (room no. 204 of the Medical Education Branch of the Directorate General of Medical Education) to get the ID number while collecting the Equivalence Certificate. To collect the Equivalence Certificate, the original mark sheets and certificates of SSC and HSC equivalency examination and certified copies of the mark sheets and certificates must be brought along.

Bangladeshi citizens, who have passed SSC and HSC equivalent examinations from abroad, their marksheets must be compulsorily attested by the Bangladeshi Embassy/High Commission in the concerned country, designated Embassy/High Commission for Bangladesh in the concerned country and Ministry of Education/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Foreign passport holders of Bangladeshi origin studying in any Bangladeshi institution will not be considered for this opportunity in any way.

After passing the HSC/equivalent examination, the Bangladeshi citizen students who wish to study in MBBS courses outside the country must participate in the central admission test and obtain a minimum of 40 marks.

Admission Test Marks Distribution

A 1 (one) hour 15 (fifteen) minutes written examination of 100 (one hundred) MCQ questions of 100 (one hundred) marks will be held. Subject-wise Distribution in Written Examination: Biology 30; Chemistry 25; Physics 15; English 15; General Knowledge (History of Bangladesh and Liberation War) 15. There are 0.25 marks that will be deducted for each wrong answer in the written examination. Candidates scoring less than 40 marks in the written examination will be considered as failed. The result will be published along with the merit list of eligible candidates.

The GPA obtained in SSC and HSC or equivalent examination will be determined as a total of 200 marks and will be evaluated as follows:

a) 8 times the GPA obtained in SSC/equivalent examination = 40 marks (Maximum)

b) 12 times the GPA obtained in HSC/equivalent examination = 60 marks (Maximum)

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written admission test and the sum of the marks obtained in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations.

The merit list will be prepared by deducting 03 (three) marks from the aggregated marks of the candidates who passed the HSC examination of the previous year (2024) and 05 (five) marks from the aggregate marks obtained in the case of students admitted in the previous year’s Government Medical College or Dental College/Unit.

Admit Card Download

From 07 December 2025, candidates can download and print their admit card with User ID and Password. It can be downloaded till 09 December 2025 through the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website. The Admission Test will be held on 12 December 2025.

MBBS Admit card 2026 Download information will be notified via SMS. If the admit card is lost, the admit card can be collected again in the same process. Downloaded Medical Admit Card and HSC/equivalent registration card must be brought to the exam hall.

Seat Plan

All the seat-related information will be mentioned in the admit card of the admission test. Admission test center, venue, address, etc., information will be mentioned in detail. Also, there will be seating arrangements in the respective Venues.

MBBS Admission Result 2025

The result of the admission test will be informed through SMS on the candidate’s mobile and through the websites dgme.gov.bd and result.dghs.gov.bd.

The National Merit List (regarding special quota if any) will be published with 5 times the number of approved seats of private medical colleges from among the successful candidates on the date of publication of the admission circular along with the total number of approved seats of the government medical college. However, candidates who scored below 40 marks in the admission test will not be considered eligible for admission.

For admission to Government Medical Colleges candidates will be selected on 80% national merit and 20% district quota in the remaining seats except for the seats reserved for freedom fighters, tribals, and non-tribals. Simultaneously a merit-based waiting list of a reasonable number of candidates will also be released. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit from among the aspirants in the reserved seats and respective categories. Based on the selected candidate’s merit rank and college choice, the candidate will be admitted to a college automatically.

2% seats reserved in the Freedom Fighter quota will be limited out of total seats. Freedom fighters’ children and children’s children can apply for FF quota.

After the scheduled date for migration or college transfer admission, students admitted against vacant seats will be given the opportunity to change college (automigration) a maximum of 4 (four) times according to application, merit, and college preference. After the migration, the vacant seats in the medical colleges will be filled in the order of merit from the waiting list. No other medical college can be transferred from a government or private medical college.

Online form filling rules for MBBS admission and detailed information related to admission can be found on dgme.gov.bd, mefwd.gov.bd, and dghs.gov.bd websites.

Application processing, monitoring, evaluation of answer sheets, finalization of results, and re-scrutiny will be done in a digital process. The answer sheet will be checked on the “OMR/ICR” machine.
